S2EP19 – Podcast in the future of journalism

Podium

We are in a context of changes in Europe that, more or less directly, affect podcasting. Disinformation, fake news, censorship... How will our sector evolve according to the changes in journalism? The University of Roma III, which is WePod's academic partner, has published a book that addresses all these issues called “Podcast in the future of journalism”. To find out more about this book, Javi Caminero is joined by Marta Perrotta, professor and investigator at the University Roma III.  Listen to Marta’s recommendation:

S2EP20 – Inside ‘The Right Kind of Family’

The moment we have been waiting for since September 2023 is here. That great project on which many colleagues from all over Europe have been working so hard: WePod’s large co-production. This co-production is the result of the work of Elsa Cabria of El País Audio (Spain), Lili Rutai of 444 (Hungary), Claudia Torrisi of Europod (Belgium) and Francesca Berardi of Chora Media (Italy). The documentary has been produced in seven languages: Italian, Spanish, Hungarian, English, French, Dutch and Polish.  To find out more about the details of this investigation and the creative process behind this co-production, today I am joined by two of the journalists who have made it possible: Elsa Cabria and Claudia Torrisi. Listen to Elsa and Claudia’s recommendations:  Lucky Boy: https://open.spotify.com/show/6edrtr63RobTNRuLvU2sfj   Fashion Neurosis: https://open.spotify.com/show/5u12Pe78N9yaQWRWWoXZTK   Listen to The Right Kind of Family:  Follow us on all our socials (@wepodproject) and visit the WePod project website: https://www.wepodproject.eu/welcome  Credits:  Hosted and written by Javi Caminero  Sound design by Manu Tomillo  Coordinator: Alexander Damiano Ricci  Executive producer: Ana Ribera  This project has received funding from CROSS-Sectoral of the Creative Europe Programme.

To those who work in the podcasting industry, connecting and sharing ideas with professionals of this field is a great opportunity. That’s why the Talent Farm was born. WePod's Talent Farm is a kind of Linkedin of podcasting that seeks to facilitate progress and connections between audio professionals from different parts of the world.  To learn more about the Talent Farm, Javi Caminero is joined by one of the minds behind that idea: Henar León, Project Manager at Prisa Audio, WePod's Spanish partner.  Create an account on WePod’s Talent Farm: https://www.wepodproject.eu/dashboard/talent   Follow us on all our socials (@wepodproject) and visit the WePod project website: https://www.wepodproject.eu/welcome  Credits:  Hosted and written by Javi Caminero  Sound design by Manu Tomillo  Coordinator: Alexander Damiano Ricci  Executive producer: Ana Ribera  This project has received funding from CROSS-Sectoral of the Creative Europe Programme.

S2EP17 – Exploring the American podcasting industry

In this episode of Sounds Like Europe, Javi Caminero tries to discover how the industry we're trying to promote at WePod is similar to and different from the podcast industry that started it all: the American one. To do so, he is joined by Andreea Coscai, Producer and Podcast Marketing Manager at American podcast producing company Tink Media. Listen to Andreea’s recommendation:  What’s a Podcast?: The Revolution Redefined: https://open.spotify.com/show/1JQu1eymaWrRfNtfD2dBGb?si=1590fc44bf994ce2   Follow us on all our socials (@wepodproject) and visit the WePod project website: https://www.wepodproject.eu/welcome  Credits:  Hosted and written by Javi Caminero  Sound design by Manu Tomillo  Coordinator: Alexander Damiano Ricci  Executive producer: Ana Ribera  This project has received funding from CROSS-Sectoral of the Creative Europe Programme.
